The Season of Giving
It’s almost Christmas time! One reason that I love Christmas is because our hearts seem more focused on giving. I recently had a friend that had a need and I gave them $10 cash. It was the last of the eat out money for the week but I didn’t even think twice about it, I knew my friend needed it. The very next day someone came over to my house unexpectedly and gave me $50 cash! I had helped that friend a few weeks ago and they insisted that I take their gift! Isn’t God awesome?
Even if our nation seems to be in a “financial crisis” we can still look to give to others! Sometimes the best gifts can’t be wrapped or tied with a bow!

I totally agree!!! It is so awesome to give to people even though you may not have it. Don’t be afraid at all….God will take care of everyone 24/7!!! What a neat feeling. I was at an auction one day and I was bidding on something and I was bidding against someone else, the guy that was bidding against me told me to stop bidding because he wanted that item. I looked at him very strange. Long story short, he was bidding on it for Me!!! What a blessing!

I totally agree! We’re one of those families that won’t be able to do presents this year, but we’re ok with that. What a great opportunity to affirm with our kids what CHRISTmas is all about, and while we would give money if we had it, we’ve decided to also give of ourselves this year. We’ll be taking our children to a soup kitchen and a nursing home to serve others this holiday season! And I’m sooo looking forward to it!

What a nice story! I was just telling my son about how God always outdoes us in generosity. Sounds like you’re a great friend.
