Did anyone camp out for the new Chick-Fil-A grand opening and get free Chick-Fil-A for a year? I decided not to go because we are moving this week and there is not a Chick-Fil-A in Connecticut! I want to know if you did go though!
Chick-Fil-A has possibly the best coupon policy in the entire world. You can use expired coupons there (those awesome calendar coupons) and you can use a coupon that states it is good for another location. Why? They are franchises and they would prefer to get your business at their location, so they will take any Chick-Fil-A coupons. Chick-Fil-A is really one of the only fast food places that my family visits on a regular basis (besides Sonic~ oh my four year old is going to be in shock when he finds that they don’t have Chick-Fil-A or Sonic in Connecticut! I may be in shock myself!)

I love Chick-fil-a. I have never camped out, but had lots of friends in the area do so when our Chick-fil-a came to town. It was quite an event since we live in the mountains and had no indoor play areas at any restaurant or elsewhere.

I missed the calendar promotion as I was in the midst of moving– first across the ocean, and then from one state to another, before I finally found myself here in Texas! We love Chick Fil A! At our store here you get a special discount on Mondays if you bring your church bulletin from the Sunday before. I’m not sure if that is a local policy or throughout the company but it would be worth checking into!

Hi. Thanks! I’m certainly enjoying your site. My 21-year-old son has life-threatening seizures and played on the Special Olympics basketball team this year. They sold Chick-Fil-A calendars (with the Qs!) for a fundraiser. That was our first introduction to Chick-Fil-A. OH NO! No chickfila?! What’s a mother to do?? We can’t even drive my one without my son pointing and screaming in the backseat to go “PWAAAY!!” It’s the only place he will actually eat prior to playing, and I *love* their sweet tea!” I will wait in line for 15 minutes during lunch hour just to get a large sweet tea. I agree that the Chick-Fil-A calendar is the best deal in the known universe.
For five bucks you get waaaay more than that in food. Not all of the coupons are great. One of them is for a free bottle of water if you buy a salad. There’s always four or five coupons that require no purchase. There’s always a free chicken sandwich, always a free chicken biscuit, always a free Coke.
Most of the coupons requiring a qualifying purchase are good as well. Next month’s coupon is for a free four-count Chick-N-Strips if you buy iced tea — incredible!
As pointed out above, the coupons never expire — I once used one that was five years old — and you can use as many as you want on a single visit.
Here’s something else I just learned last night. When I placed my order at the drive-thru, I told them I had two coupons that were each good for a chicken salad sandwich. By mistake, they gave me two regular chicken sandwiches. When I pointed out the mistake, the clerk at the window said I could have either the sandwiches they already gave me, or I could have chicken salad sandwiches. When I told him I’d be fine with keeping the chicken sandwiches, he pointed out that you can always use your coupon for something less expensive. In other words, the chicken salad sandwiches are more than the famous Chick-Fil-A sandwich, but I prefer the latter and can use the coupons accordingly.
One last thing:
When the 2009 calendars come out next month, you will most likely have the option of paying five bucks or getting a calendar free with purchase of a $20 gift card. The gift card option is great because the gift cards do not expire. Last year I bought 30 gift cards and got 30 free calendars. That’s the best $600 investment I’ll ever make!
